Today, Kidland Secondary School came alive with the intense silence and sharp focus that only a chess competition can bring. We proudly hosted the Individual Chess Tournament 2082, featuring two categories: Seniors (Classes 8, 9, 10) and Juniors (Classes 5, 6, 7). The event was a showcase of strategy, patience, and mental agility—hallmarks of the beautiful game of chess.
🧠 Junior Section Highlights:
From the junior category, participants from Classes 5 to 7 demonstrated exceptional thinking and composure. After a thrilling first knockout round, the following students moved forward:
- Qualified for 2nd Round: Rupan Magar, Darshit Thebe, Sapten Rai, Chewang Lama, Shreeyansh KC, and Tanisha Adhikari
- Finalists: Rupan Magar, Sapten Rai, and Shreeyansh KC












After a closely contested final round:

🥈 2nd Position: Rupan Magar
🥉 3rd Position: Shreeyansh KC
♟️ Senior Section Highlights:
The senior category followed a league system format in the first phase. Each participant played two games, gaining 3 points per win. Players who won both games and directly entered the semi-finals were:
- Kiran Gurung
- Simon Poudel
- Sudip Gurung









Participants with one win each—Aayusha Adhikari, Parlov Bharati, Salina Rai, and Abhipanna Basnet—competed in the knockout phase. Parlov Bharati emerged victorious, earning a spot in the semi-finals.
